You asked for it so now you have it!Effective for September the first Wednesday of the month will be reserved for a night meeting (no day meeting) 10 to 15 mintues will be reserved for business and then we will have a social. Lois will cater a meal for all in attendance. We will start having poker, bunco, etc for members & family. ALL OUR WELCOMED!

Our regular business meeting will be moved to the second Wednesday of the month and programs for the remaining 2 to 3 weeks.

Pleasanton Lions Club - What are we all about?

Our motto is - "WE SERVE". Founded in June of 1948 the Pleasanton Lions Club has strived to be one with the community. We promote helping others in our community with food, clothing, eye glasses, hazzard assistance, seeing eye dogs, hearing aides & much more. We also focus on helping the youth of Pleasanton and Atascosa County. We provide $1,000 scholarships every year for two lucky Pleasanton High School Seniors, with plans to provide extra scholarships this year. We also are always trying to send children with handicaps or disabilities to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. We can send any child that qualifies to the week long camp free of charge to the family. Our next date to feed the campers is Friday July 11, 2008.

LEO CLUB- For anyone who has children in High School the Pleasanton Leo Club is a great club for them to get involved in. Lion John Staha (830-570-7012) has taken over as the advisor of the club. The Pleasanton Leo Club was founded in 2004 to help high school students find a club to work on leadership & community involvement. The club has been a huge success.
