WOONONA - LOCATION AND HISTORY


The Suburb of Woonona is approximately 10 kms north of Wollongong in the state of New South Wales on the eastern coast of Australia. It is a relatively quiet and secluded residential area of quality housing situated between the larger commercial centres of Bulli to the north and Corrimal to the south. Woonona boasts proximity to three great beaches.
The Lions Club of Woonona was chartered thirtyseven years back, in May 1970 and still has two charter members in its ranks. The club comprises twentyfive members with five being female.
