Thanks to the Leos who worked this project, making it a great success. We now have 15 Leos at BMS and CMHS who have worked at least one project. Those who have worked a project have earned a LEO shirt. All Leos who have earned a shirt should wear them to any future Leo projects. Have a great summer and be prepared to be a part of the club next year to help make our community a better place to live.

Four of our Leos walked in the Teresa Johnson Memorial Walk for Diabetes Awareness at the West Virginia Lions State Convention at Pullman Square in Huntington on April 26. Note that each wore a Leo shirt that they earned for participating in the walk for diabetes awareness to send kids to Camp Kno-Koma, a camp for diabetic children. To view information about the camp go to www.campknokoma.com We plan to walk next year in Charleston.

Our four Leos walked with four Leos from Cabell Midland Leo Club. All eight Leos received a Leo shirt for their participation. They are all show above beside the West Virginia Lions Mobile Eye Screening Unit at the Pullman Plaza Hotel in Huntington.
I am challenging the club to do a school-wide glasses drive at the beginning of the school term 2008-2009. These glasses can make it possible for people in underdeveloped countries to be able to see. I think that we can collect several hundred pairs of glasses!
