• F.A.Q: LionWAP Counters

This section describes the web page counters used at LionWAP. How to show them on your page and how to view them.

    1. What does the Counter on my web page mean?
    2. If I use the "Activities Only Field" option, how can I display this counter?
    3. Is there a way that I can display the counter without HITTING my page or someone else's?

    1. What does the Counter on my web page mean? - Top

When you first started your web page, this counter was set to zero. Each time your page is loaded or reloaded (refresh), the counter is incremented. We use the term HIT, to indicate that the page was loaded and the count was incremented. This does not indicate the number of visitors. By checking the counter, you increment it again. When you modify your web page, then check the contents, you increment it again. Some webmasters get pretty excited to see how high their count gets; even though they have a high number of "personal HITS". - Updated: February 6, 2002

    2. If I use the "Activities Only Field" option, how can I display this counter? - Top

Many LionWAP pages represent projects, Districts and Multiple Districts, so the webmaster has chosen the "Activities Only Field" option in the TEMPLATE setting. The means that the web page is formed from HTML code that the webmaster entered into the Activities field. The webmaster may use this code to show Counter HITS:
