| Comment | My daughter is going to be graduating from Belvidere High School in Jan. 2010. She will be attending college at Elgin Community College (ECC) which is my place of employment. It was suggested by a person at ECC that I check with local agencies to see if there may be a scholarship available to students that will be continuing on into college. | Comment | I know very little about the Lions Club, but was refered to you by United Way, as I am legally blind and trying to replace and update the computer equipment I use, partially for editing my church's sermons, aswell as other purposes. I contacted Dell and HP who told me that they do donate, but only to nonprofit organizations, not individuals. My problem is that I require a 20" screen, or 17" on a laptop, but price rise exponentially (especially on laptops) the larger the screen is. I am 42, married with five kids and on disability since 1998 and have no budget in this area. I don't know if this is something Lions is able to help with, as I've contacted so many organizations and have made a full circle loop in referals, several times over! Nontheless, I appreciate your taking the time to read this. If you have any suggestions, I greatly appreciate them all. God bless. Scott C. Eischen, Rockford |

| Comment | I'm a new teacher at BHS. I have a freshman student who says he needs glasses but his grandmother, whom he lives with, can't afford them. In the community where I used to live, the Lions Club had a way to screen and sometimes donate glasses. Is this done here? |
