SubjectInterested in Speaking to Lions Club
CommentGood Afternoon,

I am contacting you to see if you are interested in having Al Lencioni speak to your Lions Club. Below is Al’s speech topic and a little bit about Al.

“Technology’s move to ‘Good Enough’ – Why Cheap and Simple is crucial in today’s reality”
Over the past few decades many facets of life have been radically changed by technology, and primarily for the better. We have seen many examples, however, of technology advancing beyond the point that it becomes useful or usable to the average person. Complexity has been added without meaningful functionality. When we buy a technology-based product, we often end up paying for “bells and whistles” that never get used, and worse yet get in the way of doing what we originally intended with the product.
There is a significant realization of this issue in today’s marketplace, and companies are beginning to understand that “simple and effective” should be the real measuring stick for progress. This discussion will focus on examples of how technology got “out of hand” and how companies are moving back to products that put an emphasis on economy and user-friendliness over cutting-edge “improvements.” Attendees will gain a better understanding of the efficiencies and true cost savings associated with the “Good Enough” option that they can then apply to their own business situations.

About Al Lencioni:
Al Lencioni is a founding partner of ASA Sales Systems, LLC, Chicago, IL. A 29 year veteran of the IT arena, Al’s background in system development, sales and sales management has put him in the middle of the technology revolution that has taken place during the last three decades. While recognizing that technological advancements bring tremendous benefit to companies and societies, he has also seen the inefficiencies and frustrations that occur when technology is taken to an extreme. Al’s professional focus with ASA is developing economical business information systems that provide organizations with mission-critical data while being extremely user-friendly. He has been awarded a US Patent for the development of a revolutionary Internet-based sales management system. His company recently introduced a revolutionary CRM system, Jetstream®, which successfully combines speed, ease-of-use and economy. Al lives in Buffalo Grove, Il with his wife of 18 years Karen and their 15 year old son Michael.

Thanks,
Heather

SubjectRecycling
CommentHey. I'm 14 and recently decided to start colleting the aluminum, cans around my house. When I get a lot, I plan on taking them to a recycling agency and getting cash in return for them. I was wondering if the Crete Lions Club recycling program offers cash for a certain mass of aluminum cans. Please respond to my question via email, jcav94@yahoo.com
