SubjectReduced Vision Classes
CommentI work as a Nurse Case Manager for worker's compensation claims. One of my client's injury was a serious eye burn from cemicals. Someone suggested that I inquire with the Lions Club for possible reduced vision classes. The client lives in Spring Valley, IL near Uttica, IL. Let me know if this is something that you could help me with or could direct me in the right direction.

CommentI have tried to search the web to find a list of Lions Clubs, but have not been able to get a successful link. My husband is a hospital chaplain in Elgin, IL and he has a family that wishes to donate the hearing aids of their recently deceased family member. Is there a way to do that in or near Elgin?

SubjectHow to inquire about vision assistance programs.
CommentHello my name is Nadean. I am from Viola Illinois. I have not been able to work since may 2000. I have many health problems (some being) chronic asthma, severe arthritis and fibromyalgia. I an currently on my second new round of disability applications for medical assistance. My husband and I do not have insurance nor can we offord it. I just found out that I have a cataract in my rt eye that needs surgery within the next 3 months or I will go blind. Am wondering who I write, call, or mail (email) to find out how to get help. I am both scared and concerned about going blind before I can find help. Any help or direction you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks-a-Bunch
