SubjectCataract Surgery in Haiti
CommentDear Rochester Host Lions Club, I am a member of Friends of Haiti, located in Green Bay, WI - go Vikings. On our medical missions we have identified many people, children and adults who are in need of cataract surgery. We have the possibility of getting funding for a microscope which will enable a Haitian Opthomologist to do the surgery in Haiti. We have been asked to co-ordinate our activities with a Lion's Club in Haiti and so are seaching for information about Clubs there. I notice in a newsletter that your president mentioned that there were three Lion's Clubs in Haiti. Would you have the names and/or contact information on any of those clubs. We would appreciate your help as it has been a long wait for some of the people on our list.

SubjectChoir sponsor for School #30
CommentI teach chorus at School #30 on Otis Street. My chorus would like to perform at events in Rochester this year as well as at Darion Lake Music Festival, Lilac Festival, Christmas Tree lighting, and in Albany for Music in Our Schools Month. However, the school lacks funding to provide transportation with a bus. My administrator suggested that I contact you for financial support to provide the money for the busses, as Rotary Club did for School #8.
