SubjectJulius Lopes- Lopes Restaurant
CommentMy Uncle, Julius Lopes, owned and operated Lopes Restaurant in Fords from the mid 60s thru late 80s. I remember Lions Club meetings being held in his restaurant. I was looking for photos of my Uncle. if anyone has any photos from that era that they can share, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Frank J. Lopes (nephew of Julius & Aurora Lopes)

SubjectSpecial Events
CommentMy partner and I have a wonderful gourmet Kettle Corn concession that is completely self contained in our 10'x10' tent. We require no electricity. We have participated in a number of fairs and festivals in the NJ/NY area including the Monmouth Strawberry Festival hosted by the Lions Club. Our products, which are made on site and are all natural received rave reviews from other vendors as well as the public. We would be very interested in participating in any similar type events your club may be planning. I have a picture available of our set-up for your review if interested. We may be contacted at thomashbrown@hotmail.com, telephone 570 460-6108 or linda.cataldo@att.net, telephone 908 850-5166. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Thomas Brown and Linda Cataldo

SubjectVolunteer Program
CommentThe NJ Judiciary is looking for males to volunteer one night a month for the Woodbridge Juvenile Conference Committee Program. The program hears juvenile complaints referred to them by the court. The committee makes recommendation to the Superior Court Judge as to how that complaint should be resolved in the community. Please share this information with the Lions Club and if anyone is interested in getting involved in this program they can call me at 732-981-2179 or email me...thank you!
