| Subject | Volunteer Speaker |
| Comment | Hello, CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates (for abused & neglected children) is looking for opportunities to speak to organizations about our program. Currently, 5,000 children go through the Jefferson County Court System, through no fault of their own, regarding neglect or abuse, and need someone to advocate for their best interest. CASA is a non profit organization who train volunteers to be voices for these children. There are not enough volunteers to fill the need for all of these children. I would be glad to send you more information or speak to you about having one of our staff come to speak to your members at a future meeting. The need is great and these children deserve a voice. You can contact me at 595-4911 and anyone at the office will be glad to assit you. Regards, Robin Sutherland |

| Comment | Dear Lion Lusco: The challenge for all service organizations these days is to recruit new members, especially younger ones who can be an important force for years to come. I am a financial author with two bestselling books under my belt, and I show people under age 45 how to become wealthy without sacrificing their present lifestyle. If you are interested in proof of this statement, I would be happy to send you the PDF version of my latest book, Wealth Secrets Revealed: Lunch with Gaffer. In association with the launching of this book, which became a bestseller on Amazon on December 29, I am organizing a series of entertaining talks aimed at an under-45 audience between May and August. The talk’s title is: “How to become wealthy with money you didn’t know you had.” The audience is one I believe you need to contact as potential members: young, intelligent and eager to get ahead. The presentation is ideal for these tough economic times. My presentation is designed to raise charitable funds for your organization while helping members of your audience invest more profitably and more securely. Your audience will learn: • How to find the money they didn’t know they had to invest without impacting their current lifestyle; • How to buy low and sell high every time. It’s so easy an eight-year-old could do it; • How to avoid stock market disasters; • How to confidently construct a portfolio that will outperform long-term stock market averages; and • How to buy stocks directly from companies without brokerage commissions. There are no pie-in-the-sky ideas; all are logical and readily provable. The problem is that most young people don’t learn these basic success rules until they have lost far more money than they needed to and, more importantly, have lost valuable time. This presentation is offered between May 1 and August 31 without fees in exchange for a portion of admission receipts. I will pay my own expenses. Your members will be asked to pre-sell tickets which I will supply in books of 10. In cooperation with your organization, I will make myself available to local media in the 24 hours before your event to advertise it. My latest book and other products will be offered for sale in a non-intrusive manner, and a 10% commission will be paid to your club. Here’s how the financial side works: • Receipts from the first 100 tickets go to help with expenses for my assistant and me; • 50-50 split on the next 200 tickets; and • All tickets above 300 result in 100% to your club. Number of Tickets Sold Received by Tremayne Received by Your Lions Club 100 $1,000 $0 300 $2,000 $1,000 500 $2,000 $3,000 700 $2,000 $5,000 The table assumes a ticket price of $10. It does not account for commission on product sales, which will be extra. This means you would see income in excess of $3.000 on sale of 500 tickets (10 for each of 50 members) while providing a public service to your audience. Although there are reasons other than fundraising for sponsoring this show – and I think of it as a ‘show’ because if an audience is not entertained it will not retain as much information – in my opinion you should not become a sponsor unless you are sure your members can sell more than 250 tickets. Cost of facilities will be shared. I believe this to be a no-lose proposition for your members and a strong public service to your community. My goal is to positively change the future for as many young people as I can. I am an accomplished public speaker with over 1,000 presentations to my name. I promise to entertain and involve your audience from the first moment I appear on stage and long before I speak. The show has a dramatic introduction which sets up everything that follows. It is a presentation that will be talked about for some time to come and your club will earn additional respect for bringing it to your area. That’s a promise! If you are interested in discussing this opportunity, please contact me before April 10 at s02041934@gmail.com with a contact name, telephone number and the best hour of the day for me to call. This opportunity is limited, so please hurry. Yours truly, Sydney Tremayne Wealth Secrets Revealed: Lunch with Gaffer Morgan James Publishing, New York, October 2007 Turning penniless graduates into millionaires on $6.67 a day Imagine what I could do for you at your age www.lunch-with-gaffer.com |

| Subject | Researching your civic club as a result of article |
| Comment | Your web page is fantastic and I have come here as a result of the Courier Journal Article regarding Civic Clubs. I am simply researching you at this point and do not know if I would be able to commit to active involvement but have an interest in participating in the future. I will feature this club and web page in a persuasive speach which I am presenting in class at Spalding University. Great job on this site!!!! |
