| Subject | Canadian/American schoolgirl's band |
| Comment | My mom traveled with an all-girls high school band in the summer of either 1949 or 1950. She has since lost all momentos in a flood. The tour was sponsored by the Brandon, Manitoba Lions Club. If anyone has any archived items please contact me. This was a highlight in her life: she left Texas, flew, rode a train, and saw mountains for the first time in her life! Thanks! |

| Subject | Coaching Boys Into Men Project |
| Comment | Hi, my name is Anne Rychner and I am a member of the Anoka County Domestic Violence Council. Through the council we are starting a public education campaign called "Coaching Boys Into Men" which is a nationally used campaign that promotes parents and organizations to teach young men the importance of respecting women. I would like to have an opportunity to come speak at one of your monthly meetings to inform you about the campaign and our needs for funds and volunteers to promote the campaign. Our education would be focused strictly in Anoka County. If you could please contact me if you are interested in supporting this cause. My number is 612-868-8879. Thanks! |

| Subject | Will your club's generous gift of time, considera |
| Comment | Dear Lions & Lionesses: This is an informal request for your assistance. I understand your grants cover 50% of the cost of adaptive equipment for visually impaired students. I will explain the unique situation my children are in. Please let me know if there is any way your organization can help. My children suffer from the same degenerative eye conditions I do. We have aniridia, nastagmus, extemely near sighted and have scar tissue building on the cornea. They live with their mother in Minnesota. She has C.O.P.D. and is limited to travels with an oxygen tank. She can not work and collects S.S.D.I. I started a new life in Missouri, with my of ten years, and one of her children. My wife is physically disabled and our only income is S.S.D.I. I would like to help my sons with their education, but, I can't. Kristofer (16 yrs. old) is a sophmore at De LaSalle High School in Minneapolis. His brother, Matthew (almost 15 yrs. old) is a freshman. De LaSalle is a parochial school with an outstanding service record. The problem is, however, it is not set up to be accessible for the sight challenged. The boys need adaptive equipment (I am not sure what) and help with tuition. They are forced to work a great deal of hours to pay for their tuition, because neither parent can afford it. Your charitable donation, no matter how large or small, would be greatly appreciated. I have just started trying to gather financial assistance to help them. I don't know what they need for adaptive equipment, or how much tuition runs. I omly know my sons could use your organization's help. Thank you, in advance, for any assistance you can be. I can be reached by email. Kris and Matthew can probably readily answer any questions you have better. They can be reached at: Kristofer and Matthew Mitchell 1048 11th Avenue SE Minneapolis, MN 55414 (612)379-7577 Thank you, once again, for your contribution and cooperation. This would mean a lot to them. Sincerely: Dwayne Mitchell |

| Subject | Help for a wonderful Anoka County Senior |
| Comment | I am disappointed. I sent a nice eMail looking for your help on behalf of a 80+ year old senior. I hit "Submit" and got a screen asking for ideas and support not a commercial message. THIS WAS NOT A COMMERCIAL message just asking for your support of one Anoka County senior. Please call me if you are willing to help or perhaps lead to me other help. I even got a positive response from Anoka County Assessor's office. Will you step up to the plate? |
