| Comment | As a former member of the Takoma Park Lions Club, I have bad news concerning Past President Lion Ron. He has been diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. His treatment options are limited. He opted to participate in a research project for a new course of treatment for the past 3 weeks at MUSC there in Georgetown as well as Charleston, South Carolina. Unfortunately, the experimental drug treatment used in the clinical study has not worked for Ron. He is being treated for complications at present and will be given other cancer fighting drugs. Please keep Ron and his wife Mary Ann in your thoughts and prayers during this holiday season and the new year. |
