Subjectglasses
CommentDear Sir; I was a former Lion in Ca. and presently teaching English As Second Language learners with Pikes Peak Library Distsrict. In Ca. you had a service of providing glasses and and an exam for low income people. I have four student adults, Liberia and Latin America who qualify for your services if you do provide them. I would be most grateful if you could reply and see if you may be o help to needy students who are lerning our language. Any forms may be sent to me at 5235 Saddle Dr. Colorado Springs, Co 80918 or to Penrose Library care of Teona Lit Sources coordinator. Thank you for your time and I hope you maya be of helpl. Roberto

Subjecteyeglasses
CommentMy wife, who is a hospice chaplin with Odyssey Hospice, has helped one of her hospice patients collect over 200 eye glasses in the past month. Where can she take them now that they have been collected? Could she bring them to your next meeting? Thank you for your advice and suggestions. Kent Mathews

SubjectEyeglasses for Doanation
CommentI work in the Department of Public Safety for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Through our lost & found we collect a number of sets of eyeglasses -- both prescription and non-prescription (primarily sunglasses in this category). In the past I have dropped them off at eyglass stores, but in the current economy many of my regular drop points have closed. Is there any problem dropping them off at the Flintridge address?

SubjectReferral for glasses at Vision Source Practices
CommentI called Vision Source this morning to get the price for a pair of reading glasses. They told me that the Lions Club has a referral program that would cover the cost of the glasses. I am a disabled Vet. at 70%.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Kindest Regards,

Tom Crouch

SubjectEye Glasses for Underprivileged Student
CommentWe have a 7th grade student in our school, Colorado Springs Charter Academy, whose family is unable to pay for glasses for her. I am wondering if there would be any assistance from the Lion's Club for this need? If not your club, is there another one in Colorado Springs who might be able to assist us?

Thank you so much. I can be contacted at the above email address or school phone 636-2722.
