| Comment | Dear Lion and Lioness Events Coordinators! Hello! I am Jerry of the Tom & Jerry Duo from Saskatoon. Recently, while playing at your local hotel tavern and/or community dance, we had been approached by some of your members and advised us to contact you in regard to booking us for a future event. I guess they were impressed with our performance and thought we'd be perfect for your next fundraiser. I wish I took down their names...sorry about that. Over the years we have performed popular live music of all styles and eras for dances for a variety of Saskatchewan's nonprofit groups. We've had much experience with fundraisers and dances for a variety of entities ranging from auto clubs, community groups, Eagles and Legions to curling, hockey and ball tournaments to Chambers of Commerce sponsored events. Some we've been doing every year since their inception such as the Pike Lake Fun Run since 1984 for example. Alternatively, you or someone you know has likely witnessed our weekend "adult" performances in one of the many taverns and beverage rooms in a town or city near you. Just ask around... We are contacting you in these regards. If you are planning events this year that require above average experienced entertainers, we strongly urge you to look into booking us early. Our calendar fills up pretty fast each year but we'd love to be at your function! We have many references ranging from entities such as Meyers, Norris & Penny Accounting, Cameco, Potash Corp. of Sask, Saskatoon Fire Department, various Eagles Clubs, Coachman Car Club, Chambers of Commerce and various town EDO officers located throughout Saskatchewan. Depending on the distance we have to travel, we typically earn between $650 to $800 per dance and/or event with approximately 100 to 250 people in attendance and a little more if over 250, which is entirely due to the additional PA equipment rental expense we will incur to accommodate a bigger hall. We can set up our PA early for your use and provide appropriate background CD music if requested. We will also leave our microphones on for your use throughout the event. Tom & Jerry typically start playing at a dance at 9:30 PM and end at 2:00 AM. It works out to 4.5 X 45 minute sets with 20 minute breaks between. If we are more than 80 kilometers from Saskatoon, hotel/motel accommodation with at least one room with 2 beds is to be provided by you. A nonrefundable deposit is usually requested for most bookings and cancellations must be given two weeks prior to engagement. Posters and help with advertising is provided by us at no additional charge. Finally, depending on the circumstance, our beverage & food tab is complimentary. We can also accommodate a PROFESSIONAL DEEJAY service operated by myself to fit a tighter budget! Below is a little more information on who we are.... Tom & Jerry have been successfully entertaining audiences throughout Western Canada since 1984. Our longevity is testimony in itself ... Consisting of two seasoned musicians and strong vocalists, Tom & Jerry instrumentation is made up of electric guitar, electric 5 string bass-guitar, digital drum machine and an assortment of "crowd pleasers" introduced over the duration. Our performance level exceeds the standard with a strong emphasis on improvisational comedy through audience participation. This really makes a difference between your audience having a good time and the amount of funds raised.
