SubjectHearing Aid Assistance
CommentGodd afternoon,
I am looking for some help/advice for getting my elderly father-in-law a replacement hearing aid. He fell and broke his hip and in the process broke his obsolete hearing aid. He is approx 85% deaf and has just completed his hip surgery at
Kent County. I have called around and have discovered that there is little help with this expensive problem. Please let me know any information you may have to help us. Thank you.

SubjectLending a helping hand
CommentHigh! I have a group of vivaceous cubscouts from Pack 1 Wickford. We were wondering if we might be of some assistance to your organization on Thurs. Dec.23,2004. With all of the volunteering that you do we would like to help. Sorry we are so late in our request, but we have been having difficulty contacting anyone with your organization. If not now perhaps in the future, we are trying to encourage civic mindedness, and teach the boys to do the right thing especially in this time of giving. Please E-mail your responce to csteacher@cox.net. If you can tell me by tomorrow I can set it up with the boys for this week. My home phone is 401-295-5586, if not at home please leave a message and a contact point.Thank you for your responce, have a wonderful Holiday Season! Respectfully, Cheryl!

SubjectThe American Red Cross would like the opportunity
CommentSince January first, the American Red Cross of Rhode Island volunteers have provided emergency food, clothing and shelter to more than 80 Rhode Islanders, who have been displaced as the result of a house fire. While winter is traditionally the busiest time of year for fire-related emergencies, the past few weeks have been a particularly challenging. All of this assistance is provided by the Red Cross free of charge, but we typically spend between $500 and $1,000 per family we assist and must raise the money to provide emergency services when Rhode Islanders need it most.

I am writing to find out if there is an opportunity for the Red Cross to come to a Lions Club meeting and share with your members the important work the Red Cross is doing in your community and ways your organization can support the Red Cross.

We look forward to hearing from you.
