This is a HOW TO guide in developing a simple web page to describe a Service Project or Fundraiser that you can share with other Lions Club around the world.  This is a very easy project.   If participating Lions can just provide a write-up for one or two projects that have been successful in their club; we will have a tremendous on-line resource for all.

Write up your project, using the following "Ingredients" 

• Startup Cost
• Number of Volunteers needed
• Expected Earnings (Fundraisers)
• Number of People served (Service Projects)
• All Resources
• Phases of the project
• Community Involvement and Publicity

Describe the steps.  Be sure to indicate pitfalls.  If possible, show a typical budget that illustrates where the money comes from and where it goes.

If you wish, you may create a LionWAP page yourself.   This would provide you with the capability to maintain this yourself.  Follow these instructions:

1. Create the webpage on your local computer, using any software tool.   Windows 98 comes with a tool called "Front Page Express" that works just fine. 
2. Let's say that your project is "Christmas Tree Sale".  You might name the page "ChristmasTree" with no spaces in the name.  
3. For all Lions graphics, please use these that already exist at LionWAP.  See  wapgraphics.lionwap.org
4. Go to www.lionwap.org and click on "NEW USERS".   
5. In the Club Name field, use "Christmas Tree Sale".  
6. Set the Country field to " - Project Catalog" and the State field to and of these selections:

   - Fundraisers
   - Service Projects
   - Leadership

7. You may use your own name as "Club President". 
8. In the "Activities" field, Use COPY and PASTE to put your web page's HTML code on the web page.
9. Set the Template Number to "Use only Activities Field"
10. Set the Username to ChristmasTree and enter a password
11. Then click on SUBMIT

Your web page will be approved in a day or two.  This will be confirmed by email.
