Announcements :

The Shippensburg Lions Club was pleased to name October Students of the Month from Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Kelsey Keckler and Scott Gruver were honored along with their parents. Kelsey is active in band, lighting crew, movie club, National Honors Society and math league. Kelsey plans to attend a four year college and major in film studies. Scott is a member of the National Honors Society and is very active in the youth programs at First Church of God and leads music for the youth group. Scott plans to attend either Taylor University or Grove City College. _________________________________________________________________________ Guest speaker for the Shippensburg Lions October 27 meeting was Jennifer Vonderau who spoke on the Ghosts of Gettysburg tours. Jennifer was born and raised in Gettysburg and led a very interesting if not "ghostly" discussion about Gettysburg sightings and stories. Shippensburg Vice President Deborah Weaver is shown presenting a certificate in appreciation for her presentation. ________________________________________________________________________

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SERVING SHIPPENSBURG OVER 75 YEARS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Provide eye exams and eyeglasses to those in need. Provide annual scholarship to local high school senior. Sponsor needy children to PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp. Sponsor local Cub Scout Pack 251. Operate concession stand at home high school football games. Collect used eyeglasses & hearing aids for use around world. Assist in the spring clean up of the town Peace Garden. Clean up 2 miles of local road in Adopt-A-Highway program.
