Sunrise Lions projects for 2007/2008 where as follows: Camp Tatiyee for the Handicapped, Collecting Eyeglasses & Hearing Aids, Sight & Hearing Foundation, Recycling Paper, plastic, and Bottles, Salvation Army Bell Ringers, Delivery of the Sun Life Magazine, White Cane, & Sight First II. Sight & Hearing Foundation. Handicapped Center for the Blind. LCIF Lions Foundation of Arizona Sun Cities Foundation, Sun City West Posse, and Prides, Sun City West Visitors Center, Westside Food Bank,Selling Fanny Mae Candy, Melvin Jones International Foundation, Interfaith Community Care, SCW Visitors Center, SCW Community Fund, Habitat For Humanity, Dysart Community Center, Kids Kafe Recording For The Blind, New Life Shelter, and The Leader Dog Foundation. and Christmas baskets for the poor, and SCAT. Our Club donated in 2007-2008 a grand total of $30,000 The members of the Sunrise Lions Club have volunteered for countless hours in the service of their Community. They have worked diligently on club projects to raise monies for contribution to a total of 27 Local, State, National, and International Charities & Organizations. We are proud to say that 100% of all monies collected go to charity. Everyone is welcome to come join us. We will meet at Michael's restaurant at the bowling alley, every Thursday morning at 7:30 for Breakfast ( all summer from May to Sept.) ***** Sunrise Lions Club will have its last meeting at Lion Jim Heigs house to fold magazines, bring a folding chair. May 15th.
