to Woonsocket Lions,
celebrating its 77th birthday on February 18th, and to one of our extra-special
members, Roger "Digger" Fournier,
who celebrated his 84th birthday February 20th! Here is Roger, as always, passing
along his wisdom at one of our meetings.
Congratulations
to John Monse, the 2002 Milk Fund Chairman, for raising OVER
$100,000 to nourish recipients of the Fund.
We recently worked at our local Farmer's Market, helping
to raise money for the Arts Council. Check
out the good time we had!
This year's Autumnfest is starting out as a rainy weekend,
but ended up being a beautiful day on Monday. Take a 'peek' at our pictures

We
join with Lions around the world in the collection of used eyeglasses for distribution
in Third World countries. If you would like to donate your used glasses, please
drop them off at: Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home,
99 Cumberland Street, Woonsocket. All used eyeglasses are turned
over to our state Sight
Foundation which administers this program in addition to other
sight-related activities.
