The Yorkville Lions Club, which was founded in 1939, is now selling 2008 Coupon Books. The books only cost $10 and help to support local Lions Club benefit activities. The Yorkville Lions Club provides support for visual, hearing and other assistance as needed by our neighbors. The coupon books contain a total of 22 coupons for businesses around town. There are coupons for discounts at: Sunset's Beach Club, Cedardell Golf Club, OJ's Tap, Kendall Pub, PEPE'S Mexican Restaurant, Big Easy, Stonefire, Bridge Street Cafe', Paradise Car Wash, Cedardell Golf Club Restaurant, The Waterfront Lodge Restaurant, Parfection Park Golf Driving Range, Ralph's Place, Rosati's, Club 47, Grand Rental Station, Leno Riverfront Diner, Cano's Restaurant, 19th Hole Bar and Grill, Legends Sports Bar and Grill, Arena Bar and Grill, and Sawmill Pizza and Pub. The books easily pay for themselves.
If you are interested in getting a coupon book contact any Yorkville Lions member or send an email to the Club.
If you have old glasses to donate they may be dropped off in our drop box at the Yorkville Walgreen's.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Yorkville Lions please contact any member of the Club. May 10: Community Volunteer Appreciation Day at 11:30am - 2:00pm at the Riverfront Bicentennial Park; May 15-18: Lions of Illinois convention at Itasca; June 3: Board meeting at 6:00pm at the Beecher Community Center; June 3: regular monthly meeting at 7:00pm at the Beecher Community Center; July 1: Board meeting at 6:00pm at the Beecher Community Center; July 4: Hearing Van in town; August 2: Lion Foundation Golf Outing at 12:30pm; and August 5: Board meeting at 6:00pm at the Beecher Community Center. There are no regular meetings in July and August.
